AALTO 1 EVO is a downright compact speaker, making it naturally suitable for various purposes.
It is designed to be used not only in a traditional pedestal setting, but also on a TV stand to improve the often mediocre sound of flat-screen TVs, as a high-quality computer speaker on a desktop, or even as a wall-mounted studio monitor.
For this purpose, AALTO 1 EVO features a 1/4” thread on the rear panel for wall or ceiling mounting.
The cabinet is made by injection molding from a completely Finnish and recyclable natural fiber composite material. The properties of natural fiber composite as a speaker material are unmatched. Compared to ordinary plastics, this material allows the use of multiple material strengths, and its vibration characteristics are also superior.
In the design of the AALTO 1 EVO cabinet, a unique and clear Scandinavian design language has been taken into account, along with the constraints set by the laws of acoustics.
The double curved surfaces of the enclosure ensure natural shape rigidity, and the forward tapering shape minimizes standing waves inside the enclosure.
The technical implementation follows the well-known formula of all AALTO speakers - the bass driver of AALTO 1 produces deep, powerful and incredibly low-reaching bass, while the WLR1 tweeter unit delivers bright high frequencies and a clean midrange that seamlessly integrates with the bass.
