OUR STORY
We founded the company because things were not done well enough.
Aalto Technosystems Oy was founded in November 2020. The story was very typical: a group of industry players were dissatisfied with the fact that things were not done well enough. The development of speakers has been stagnant for a long time. Often, long-term planning is missing from the business of companies in the industry. Something needed to be done about this.
The trio of owners put their heads together one dark evening in November 2020. They decided to put their own expertise into the game. They were further complemented by Antti Louhivaara, who has worked in loudspeaker design for almost his entire career, as a designer.
The quartet has a total of over 60 years of experience in the industry, so the vision was quickly formed. The first own loudspeaker model, Aalto 1 PRO, saw the light of day in the spring of 2021.
The people behind Aalto
Antti Louhivaara is in charge of designing the Aalto speakers. Antti is well-known to most audio enthusiasts for over 20 years now. He has worked for companies such as Amphion and Aurelia, and Aalto offered him a new challenge that he did not want to refuse.
Jarkko Korhonen is a long-time player in the hi-fi industry from Oulu. He is known, for example, as one of the owners of HifiStudio. Many people in Oulu also know Jarkko from JJ Hifi. In addition to his business activities, Jarkko has always had a strong vision of what good sound should sound like. Aalto now gives Jarkko the freedom to realize this vision for the first time.
Veli-Pekka Mämmelä joined Aalto Technosystems in early 2023 as part of the change of ownership. Veli-Pekka is a passionate hi-fi enthusiast and has several years of work experience in the hi-fi industry.
